I don't know how it is around the rest of the country, but here, it is not uncommon for thieves to come to your house and CUT OUT ALL your water pipes and RIP OUT ALL of your electrical wiring to resell the copper at a scrap yard. This has happened to 3 friends of mine over the past couple years. The text on the painting are street names in New Orleans where some of these thefts have occurred.
